Sumithra Gomatam, Executive Chair of the Board

Sumithra Gomatam is Executive Chair of the Omega HMS Board. She has over 30 years of experience in the information technology and business process services industry. Her previous experience includes several senior roles at Cognizant where she spent over 24 years building, scaling, and nurturing multiple businesses that served clients globally. At Cognizant, she was president of digital operations, which she scaled and transformed to be technology-driven, using intelligent process automation and platforms with a significant focus on healthcare and big tech clients. Before that, she was at Tata Consultancy Services. Sumithra was recognized as one of the “Most Powerful Women in Indian Business” by Business Today in 2013. She was part of the NASSCOM BPM Leadership Council. She earned her B.E. in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Anna University and completed the Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School.
